Todd Lewis re-elected president of APAS

 

Saskatchewan farmer Todd Lewis has been re-elected to a fourth term as president of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan.

Lewis farms at Gray, southeast of Regina, and was first elected president in late 2016.

Ian Boxall of Tisdale and Bill Prybylski of Willowbrook were re-elected as vice presidents.

Six directors were elected including Wanda Reid of the RM of Golden West, Terry Anthony of the RM of Baildon, Devin Harlick of the RM of Piapot, Bill Prybylski of RM of Garry, Donavon Block of the RM of Leroy and Jeremy Welter of the RM of Mariposa.

56 resolutions were considered during the 3-day annual meeting in Regina.

Delegates unanimously approved a motion calling for a federal rebate of carbon tax collected on propane and natural gas used for grain drying.
