RCMP say traffic is being diverted off Highway 16 between Guernsey and Plunket after a train derailment and fire early Monday morning.
The train was reportedly hauling crude oil when it left the tracks.
CP Rail and Fire remain on the scene this hour with RCMP diverting traffic south of Plunket on Highway 365 toward Watrous, then north along Highway 668 to Guernsey.

No injuries have been reported, or the number of cars off the tracks.
Smoke in the area was said to be so thick it’s causing zero visibility, one caller to our newsroom said flames could be seen from as far away as Watrous.
Guernsey is about 114 kilometers east of Saskatoon.
A full investigation is underway.
