A tragic story is coming out of the province’s southwest.
Last night around 9 pm, RCMP and other emergency responders were called to a grid road north of Waldeck after a car carrying five people struck a truck,
Upon arrival, three of the five in the car–all boys between the age of 16 and 18 were dead with a 19-year old girl suffering serious, life-threatening injuries and an 18-year-old girl suffering serious, but non life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to a Regina hospital.
The driver of the truck, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Swift Current hospital with injuries said to be serious, but not life-threatening.
It is not known what may have caused the crash, but RCMP say the stretch of road where the accident occurred was very narrow and had a hilly dirt surface.
