Sask Hockey says chances of hockey being played this winter are now remote

The Saskatchewan Hockey Association says it will be sitting down with minor hockey associations and zones across the province after getting unexpected news from the government’s business response team.

In a memo to members on Thursday, the SHA says games aren’t expected to resume before the end of March because of the current COVID-19 restrictions and case numbers.

GM Kelly McClintock says it was news they certainly were not expecting to hear, but the high number of cases we are seeing makes things look bleak.
