If all goes well, Regina City Council will finalize the 2020 budget on Friday afternoon.
Council is sitting down for a third time this week to try and hammer out the budget which sees a proposed increase of 3.25 percent in the mill rate. That translates to a property tax bill that would see an increase of $67 a year for a homeowner with an assessed property value of $350,000.
Mayor Fougere has said he would like to see that 3.25 percent number get whittled down to under three percent.
That meeting started at 1 PM.
