The road trip through Alberta ended on a sour note for the Regina Pats as they were defeated by the Calgary Hitmen 7-3 on Sunday afternoon.
On the bright side, Jaxsin Vaughan and Alexander Suzdalev each scored their first career goals for the Pats in the loss, Tye Spencer also scored. Connor Bedard picked up an assist to extend his point streak to four games.
Koen MacInnes made 38 saves to take the loss.
The Pats were trailing 5-1 early in the second period but fought back to make the score 5-3 before the Hitmen pulled away for the 7-3 win.
Regina was 1/4 on the power play while Calgary was 2/8.
Next action for the Pats will be on Wednesday when they head to Brandon to meet the Wheat Kings.
