CN Rail says grain movement is back to normal after last month’s strike

CN Rail says grain movement is back to normal after an eight day strike last month put a halt to most shipments.

Executive vice president Sean Finn says movement of Canadian grain is back to the pre-strike pace after recovering from the week-long strike in late November.

He says it took less than three weeks for CN Rail to get caught up from the grain shipment backlog.

Prior to the strike, Finn says CN shipped a record 2.8-million tons of grain in October.

The eight day strike was from November 19th to 26th.

He says CN is prepared for a busy winter grain shipping season and is hoping severe weather does not cause any significant delays.
