COVID-19 claims 14th life in Saskatchewan

COVID-19 has taken the life of a person in the Far North who was in their 70’s.  This person is the 14th one in the province to die from the virus.

The news comes as numbers from Wednesday and Thursday are released as the province announced earlier this week that daily updates would now no longer come on the weekend or statutory holidays.

The numbers Thursday show 10 new cases, 4 on Wednesday and 6 on Thursday, to bring the provincial total to 795.

Of the 10 new cases, seven are in the Far North with two in the North and one in the Saskatoon region.

80 cases remain active.

While there were 10 new cases, there were 17 recoveries bringing the provincial total to 701.

Six people are in hospital. Three individuals are receiving inpatient care in the hospital; two in Saskatoon and one in the North. Three people are in intensive care; two in the North and one in Saskatoon.
