Second youth arrested in connection to east end robbery

A second person has been charged in connection with a Canada Day robbery.

At approximately 7:00 pm on July 1st, Regina Police responded to a robbery at a business in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive.

It’s alleged that two male suspects entered the business, stole merchandise, and when approached by staff, sprayed an employee with what is believed to be bear spray.

On July 7th, police arrested a 16-year-old male in connection to the incident.

The 16-year-old cannot be named according to the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He has been charged with robbery, break and enter, and theft. He will make his first court appearance in Youth Court Wednesday afternoon.

Another man already charged for this incident, 18-year-old Jayden Severight-Sparvier, is facing charges including robbery, break, and enter, and theft.
