Regina Public School board moving French immersion program from Ecole Harbour Landing

The French immersion program offered at Ecole Harbour Landing will be moved to Dr. A.E. Perry School.

This will mean about 180 students will be changing schools, as Ecole Harbour Landing is over-populated by about 250 students.

The decision was made at a Regina Public School Board meeting Tuesday night.

Also decided at the meeting were a change in bus routes. Kids in the French immersion program who live close to A.E. Perry school will now have to walk, as the buses will be needed to take kids from Harbour Landing to their new school next fall.

The school board has asked parents to let them know whether or not their child will be moving schools by February 1st.
