UPDATE: Snow fall creates unfavourable road conditions – Highways closed and not recommended for travel

As southern Saskatchewan sees its first snowfall of the season, it’s creating undesirable travel conditions.

According to the Highway Hotline, all highways in southern Saskatchewan are under winter driving conditions.

The Highway Hotline is also reporting that all highways surrounding Regina are not recommended for travel.

All highways surrounding Moose Jaw are closed for travel.

This is due to potential freezing, slush, icy sections, heavy and drifting snow, and little to no visibility.

Regina is seeing heavy wet snowfall that has made the city streets slushy and slippery.

Drivers are being reminded to alter their driving habits to the road conditions.

If you are travelling, keep up to date on the road conditions with the Highway Hotline.
