Globe Theatre hosting A Killer Party: first murder-mystery fundraiser

Who done it?

There’s nothing like a classic murder mystery to get people in the Halloween spirit on Halloween weekend.

Globe Theatre is hosting its first-ever interactive murder mystery fundraiser on Saturday, October 29.

“We will have actors on stage acting out the aftermath of a murder and attendees get to put together the clues and figure out who committed this murder,” says Tessa Kozun, Marketing Strategist with Globe Theatre.

She says there will be clues hidden all around the gala for guests to find to put them in the right direction to figuring out who committed the crime.

There are also prizes to be won for guessing the murderer correctly. The first three tables that get the right answer will be the winners.

“The third-place winner will get these killer party themed cookies from a local gal here in Regina. They’re beautiful, she does amazing work. Then the second place winner gets the cookies and every person at the table gets two tickets to #34 here in November. The first place winner gets all of that plus a table to next year,” says Kozun.

#34 is a live show coming up starting November 9 until November 27. The show is about George Reed and his groundbreaking career as an elite athlete, advocate, and humanitarian. For more information on the show click here.

As for A Killer Party, the actors in the show telling the story of the murder are students in Globe Theatre’s Theatre School Program.

The funds raised from this gala will go towards the programming and services of Globe Theatre.

“The Theatre School is a program that our fundraised dollars go towards so you get to see part of what your fundraised dollars go towards and the outcome of it,” says Kozun.

Tickets for the Gala are sold out. However, this is a new annual event for Globe Theatre and it’s planning for it to be even bigger and better for when it comes around in 2023.
