Pats acquire goalie from Victoria

The Pats and Victoria Royals have made a trade that sees Regina get 18-year-old goaltender Keegan Maddocks.

In exchange for Maddocks, the Pats send 20-year-old Carter Massier the other way.

Maddocks, from Langley, British Columbia, spent the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons at the Delta Hockey Academy prior to joining the Royals last year, following a short stint with the White Rock Whalers of the PIJHL. He will joins Matthew Kieper and Spencer Welke in the battle for who will be the number one goaltender this season.

With Massier leaving, it leaves the team with Logan Nijhoff, Zack Smith, Carter Chorney as the 20-year-olds.
