Saskatchewan records its 18th COVID 19 death with 38 new cases and 55 more recoveries reported

A person in their 90’s from the South region has become the 18th person in Saskatchewan to die from COVID-19.

The death is being reported at the same time as the province announces double-digit day in cases as 38 new ones have been diagnosed with 55 more recoveries putting the active case total at 304 and the provincial total of cases at 1,306. 984 people have recovered from the virus.

Of the 38 new cases, 23 are from multiple hutterite colonies around Saskatchewan as the province continues to deal with an outbreak.  14 of the 38 are in the Central region with 12 in the North, 6 in the South, 5 in Saskatoon and one in the Far North.

Fourteen people are in hospital with five of those in intensive care. Three of the five are in Saskatoon with the other two in Regina.
