Regina’s landfill and yard waste depot are changing to their winter schedule.

The landfill, located at Fleet Street in the city’s north, is closed on Sunday as workers make the switch to the updated hours.

Starting Monday, November 2, landfill winter hours of operations are as follows:
• Open: 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
• Closed: Sundays, December 25 and January 1.

Residents are reminded that the entry gates close 15 minutes before the landfill closes to allow vehicles to unload and exit the site by closing time.

The free yard waste depot will remain open on Sunday for those wanting to drop off their yard waste before winter settles in.

The depot will then close for the season but will reopen from December 26 to January 31 for the city’s Treecycle program.

The public is asked to keep a safe physical distance while dropping off waste at the landfill and yard waste depot.
