Health Canada asked to approve vaccines for 5-11 years old

It is news many parents have been waiting for.

Pfizer has officially applied for Canadian authorization for its COVID-19 vaccine meant for those between the ages of five to 11, bringing the country one step closer to protection for the school-aged population.

It is hoped Health Canada can give the go-ahead on the vaccine so that kids can start getting a shot before the calendar year is over with the hope being that can start as early as next month.

As it stands right now, kids under the age of 12 cannot be vaccinated.
