Large gathering nets Corman Park man $2800 fine

We are finding out about another large gathering being held in Saskatchewan over the weekend with a large fine being handed to the person responsible.

Corman Park police say they were called to a home on Sunday afternoon after getting a report of a gathering that exceeded 15 which is not allowed under a public health order set by the province.

Upon arriving, police found 21 people inside the home with one saying they were there for a band practice.

A 44-year-old man was given a fine of $2800 and will appear in court December 15.

This is the second fine handed out over the last three days. On the weekend, a Moose Jaw man was given a $2800 fine for hosting a Halloween party that allegedly had more than 200 people at it.

The person receiving that ticket, Lucas Howard, has set up a GoFundMe campaign saying he can’t afford the ticket.
