Wascana Centre set to resume summer activities after COVID-19 shutdown

After being shut down due to COVID-19, activities at Regina’s Wascana Centre are resuming.

In a news release, the Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) said it would be taking bookings and reservations for several summer activities in the park.

Government House museum tours are now available for one family groups, or social bubbles of up to nine people. People will need to pre-book and will have to wear masks during the entirety of the tour.

People can also start booking ferry boat tours for groups of five or less. The tours will be offered at a discounted rate of $40 for the 2020 season.

Walking tours of Wascana Centre will be available Thursdays and Fridays at 1:00 pm. Tours will need to be pre-booked and are free of charge.

The PCC is also reopening Willow Island to the public. Bookings will only be allowed Thursday to Sunday and will be limited to 30 people. Groups will have access to a fire pit and picnic facilities.
