Saskatchewan feeder cattle prices were lower in most weight categories during the past week.

Prices for feeder steers ranged from 268 dollars 3 cents per hundredweight for the 300 to 400 pound weight category to 176 dollars 92 cents for the over 900 pound weight category.

Feeder heifers ranged from 202 dollars 45 cents per hundredweight for the 300 to 400 pound category to 167 dollars 67 cents for the over 800 pound category.

Acting provincial cattle specialist Natasha Wilkie says the price declines were due in part to rising feed prices and higher volumes of cattle going to market.
