The Prairie Oat Growers Association 25th Annual Conference will be held in Saskatoon Thursday, Dec 1st.

Chris Rundel from the Foam Lake area, is the Vice-President of Prairie Oat Growers Association, and Chair of SaskOats.

He says the meeting is an opportunity for oat millers, producers and other business leaders to discuss growing and selling oats.

Rundel says delegates to the conference will come from all three prairie provinces as well as other parts of Canada and the U.S.

Rundel says it’s not too late to pre-register for the event.

He adds there is a bright future for the oat industry.

Rundel notes that oats are a major part of his crop rotation.

He says the crops had a rough start this spring but turned out quite good near Foam Lake.
