A 37-year old man faces charges after a taxi driver was threatened before his vehicle was stolen.
Regina Police say they were called to Toronto Street and 8th Avenue late Friday afternoon after receiving a call from the driver who said his vehicle had been taken by a passenger he had picked up.
The driver said he had picked up the man in the South Central part of the city and made several stops before going to a home and coming out with some belongings that he put in the trunk.
When the driver asked the man for his fare, he went to the trunk and took out a hammer. He then threatened the driver and told him to get out before leaving. The vehicle was found later with the man being arrested without incident.
Jordan Tomik will be in a Regina courtroom Monday.
