City Streets Thick with Snow

It not exactly the worst, but its not great.  The blowing snow for the last couple of days has added a whole lot of snow to the streets of Regina and the surrounding area.

Snow has blown in deeper in some spots, but any sort of hill (like the underpass near the Casino) are a little tricky to navigate.

The best way to get where you need to go is by driving slowly, and patiently.  There is no word yet from the city of Regina if the “Snow Routes” will be put into effect.

Those are the busiest roads in the city, and are marked with blue signs with a white snowflake.  When the “snow routes” are in effect there is no parking on those streets for a period of 24 hours.  It give the city crews a chance to plow from curb to curb.  Or, as close to the curb as the plows can get.

We are expecting a little more snow today, and much colder temperatures as well.  The temperature will be dropping to minus 20 tonight, with Wednesday’s high expected to be minus 15.
