Wakaw RCMP are on the lookout for a 27-year-old woman suspected in an attempted child abduction Saturday night.
The detachment received a report of several disturbances on the One Arrow First Nation around 6:45 p.m
Officers were told at one of the disturbances that an adult woman had entered a home uninvited, assaulted a woman who lived in the home and then left with the woman’s four-month-old son.
The child was located unharmed by his mother less than an hour later at another home with the suspect having left before she arrived. RCMP say she is known to the victim.
As of Sunday morning, the suspect had not been located.
Tori Sutherland is described as being around 5 foot 4, and weighs 115 to 120 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and a thin build. It’s believed she is travelling on foot.
The public is advised not to approach Tori Sutherland and to call 911 immediately if she is seen.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tori Sutherland is asked to call their local police service or Wakaw RCMP at 306-233-5810.
