A train has derailed a mile north of the community of Macoun, Saskatchewan.
Emergency crews are on the scene, but there are no reports of injuries. Reports say the derailment happened this morning between Midale and Macoun.
Mayor of Macoun Suzanne Kuchinka spoke with 620 CKRM – she relayed that everything is under control as crews are working to put out the fire.
Highway 39 has been blocked off by RCMP due to smoke in the area.
Canadian Pacific Railways said in a statement that CP crews are responding to the derailment and that local response crews have also responded.
