The Riders receiving group has taken another hit.
The squad, which was already without the services of Jordan Williams-Lambert and just got Shaq Evans back after he missed most of the season, will be without Kyran Moore for the rest of the year. A knee suffered in the win over Montreal last week is significant enough that he has been placed on the six-game injured list according to head coach Craig Dickenson.
The 25-year-old was the team’s leading pass-catcher this season having caught 54 balls for 585 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. While a replacement has not been officially named, it is believed Ricardo Louis will come back onto the roster.
Moore is the 18th player currently on the six-game injured list joining others like punter Jon Ryan, linebacker Larry Dean, defensive backs Nelson Lokombo, Mike Edem and Blace Brown and offensive lineman Terran Vaughn.
Moore may not be the only receiver who will have to miss Friday’s game. Newly acquired Duke Williams is questionable with a hamstring injury while centre Dan Clark is also questionable after rolling his ankle during Tuesday’s practice.
The green-and-white will be in Edmonton Friday night to take on the Elks in the first of a home-and-home series. 620 CKRM will have the game starting with the pre-game show at 4:30
