Holiday smile cookies will help get kids to join sports

Tim Hortons’s smile cookies are coming back for the holiday season.

This year the campaign has chosen Ehrlo Sport Venture as its recipient.

During the week of December 5 to 11 proceeds of the cookie sales sold in Regina, Balgonie, Indian Head, and Emerald Park will go to Sport Venture to help fund our five free recreational sports leagues for youth (football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and of course, hockey).

“We are extremely grateful to our Tim Hortons stores in Regina, Balgonie, Indian Head, and Emerald Park for your partnership and friendship. These stores are locally owned by families, who like us, are passionate about making a difference in our community,” said Gloria Patrick, Ehrlo Sport Venture manager.

To celebrate the campaign, Ehrlo Sport Venture is holding several events including:

  • A campaign kickoff on December 5 at 9:30 with special guests decorating cookies at the Tim Horton at 1246 Albert St., Regina. Special guests include MLA Trent Wotherspoon, Regina Pats CEO Pritchard, Mark Johnston from 92.1, Ranch Ehrlo CEO Natalie Huber, a representative from the Regina Police Service, and current Saskatchewan Roughriders and Rider alumni.
  • Regina Pats players will be helping to serve cookies on December 8 between 10-11 a.m. at various at the Tim Hortons’ on 3711 Rochdale Boulevard and 103 Albert Street North.
  • An open house at Ehrlo Sport Venture (2730 5th Avenue Regina) on Friday, December 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to tour the library and enjoy some holiday treats.
