Roughriders season tickets now on sale after CFL says it’s optimistic about 2021

With CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie optimistic about a 2021 CFL season, the Saskatchewan Roughriders began selling season tickets on Monday.

Riders Marketing Director Miriam Johnson, says renewal rates have been positive during these uncertain times.

“Our renewals were incredible, so our season ticket holders wow us everyday, the fact that they’re now on sale for the public we’re really excited,” Johnson said.

Despite the economic hardships the team and league is facing, the Riders are offering the same rates that they did for the 2020 season, with a three-year MVP plan also announced last month.

The Riders also said last month when announcing the MVP plan that if the season is changed again due to health measures surrounding COVID-19 a full refund or an automatic account credit will be given to season ticket holders.

At the same time if an individuals situation changes during the season and they can no longer be a season ticket holder, an account credit will be issued or a complete refund for the remaining games will be available upon notifying the team of the situation.

On Monday, CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie said he is encouraged by the fact a second company has come out with news about an effective COVID-19 vaccine, adding that instills a lot of hope there will be a 2021 season.
