All jury trials scheduled to begin from now until the end of the calendar year have been postponed,
The Courts of Saskatchewan says the move is being done because of the high amount of COVID-19 cases being seen and that the idea of having numerous people in a room together from across the province is not the right move to right make right now.
This is the second time jury trials have been postponed with the first one being when the pandemic was first declared in March. Trials resumed in September.
Those facing a trial can decide to have that trial by judge alone meaning it would proceed normally or have it postponed to another date.
