100 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan

Not since mid-August has the daily new COVID-19 case numbers been as low as it was on Monday.

The provincial government says there were 100 new cases of COVID-19 and one new death which brings the total of number of those in Saskatchewan who have died as a result of the virus at 872.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), Far North East (2), North West (9), North Central (7), North East (1), Saskatoon (12), Central West (1), Central East (19), Regina (20), South West (4), South Central (14) and South East (9) zones and one (1) new case has pending residence information. Of the 100 new cases, 29 cases are in children under 12 who are not yet eligible for vaccination.  The active case count is now at 1,527

There are 191 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, including 51 people in the ICU. That does not include the 18 patients from Saskatchewan who are in Ontario.

1,732 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given out on Sunday  including  1,244 second shots
