The active COVID-19 case in Saskatchewan has crawled above the 1,600 mark after the announcement of 158 new infections and two new deaths on Thursday
The new cases are located in the Far North West (6), Far North Central (1), Far North East (14), North West (17), North Central (31), North East (15), Saskatoon (27), Central West (8), Central East (5), Regina (11), South West (6), and South East (8) zones and nine (9) new cases have pending residence information.
A total of 104 people are hospitalized. Of those 104, 19 are in the ICU. 75 of those in hospital have not been fully vaccinated.
The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 169 (14.0 new cases per 100,000)
There were 2,455 vaccines delivered Wednesday. 1,499 of those went into the arms of people who have now received their second shot and are considered fully vaccinated.
