A Regina man has been charged after stealing a taxi in October.
On October 24th, at approximately 2:00 am, a man got out of a cab on the 600 block of Athol Street, leaving some items on the vehicle’s roof. When the driver noticed the man had left the items, he called out to the suspect, who then returned and pulled a knife on the driver, robbing the driver of the vehicle.
The vehicle was recovered later that morning on the 600 block of Elphinstone Street.
An investigation into the incident identified the location of a 27-year-old man, who was in violation of his probation. The man was arrested on November 19th.
27-year-old Nathaniel Vincent Runns has been charged with robbery, and failure to comply.
Runns made his first appearance in court on Friday morning.
