122 new cases of COVID-19 in SK with five more deaths

The Saskatchewan government is reporting 122 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday to go along with five more deaths.   The five deaths put the provincial total at 891.  Three of the five deaths are people in the 40-59 age group while the two were between the ages of 60-79.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (1), North West (8), North Central (11), Saskatoon (21), Central East (27), Regina (25), South West (5), South Central (4) and South East (13) zones and seven (7) new cases have pending residence information.  34 of the 122 cases are in children under the age of 12 who can’t be vaccinated at this time.   The active case count is now at 1,443.

180 people are in hospital getting treated for the virus including 47 in the ICU.  That number does not include 13 people who are being cared for in Ontario.

2,749 vaccines were delivered Thursday. 815 of those were first doses.
