The Regina public school system is preparing for re-opening schools September 8th to deal with the covid-19 pandemic.
Spokesperson Terry Lazarou says the details are being released Wednesday in email and social media.
He says teachers will be provided with bottles of disinfectant and paper towels for spot cleaning.
Lazarou says the school day schedule has changed with recess set before and after usual school hours to avoid larger crowds.
He says school websites will have more details.
He says some soft surfaces have been removed to ensure proper cleaning in schools.
He adds choir and performing arts will be part of the regular schedule but many extra curicculum activities are being curtailed, at least in September.
He says Grade 4 to 11 are mandated to wear masks and recommend younger students also wear masks.
Teachers and staff will have access to visors, gloves and other protective equipment.
