Sask reports 53 new COVID-19 cases

Fifty-three more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Saskatchewan today.

However, the case total is impacted by a government network issue that resulted in incomplete COVID-19 test data downloading into the province’s database. That missed data will be included in tomorrow’s report.

Two more people died due to COVID-19, bringing the total death count to 893 in the province.

Regina leads the way, accounting for 16 new cases, followed by the Central East at 14 and the South East at seven. The other areas in the province ranged from one to three new cases.

There are 1,324 cases considered active as of today, with 168 people in the hospital related to COVID-19, including 48 patients in intensive care with 12 residents receiving care in out-of-province ICUs
