The roster for Canada’s entry at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship was announced by Hockey Canada on Monday with Regina Pats Connor Bedard being named one of the 22 players named to the team.
Bedard competed for Canada at the 2022 World Junior Hockey Championships in Edmonton both in December and in August. He scored eight goals between the two tournaments.
The 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship begins on Boxing Day with four games, including Canada taking on Czechia at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
It has been a successful start to the season for Bedard, he leads the WHL in points (64), goals (27), assists (37) and goals per-game (0.96) in just 28 games this year.
