Weather office says temperatures will moderate over the next few days in Southern Sask

Environment Canada says the current bitter cold spell in Southern Saskatchewan is short-lived.

Weather office meteorologist Terri Lang says the thermometer will moderate over the next few days.

Lang says temperatures will hover near zero by Monday.

She says the jet stream is hovering nearby and causing major weather fluctuations this week.

The monthly outlook for February calls for colder than average with above-normal precipitation.
