97 new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan

There are 97 new COVID-19 infections in Saskatchewan to along with two new deaths that can be attributed to the virus.  That brings the provincial death total to 896.

56 of those are in people who have not been vaccinated or received their first shot less than 21 days ago including 26 who are under the age of 12.  The new cases are located in the North West (9), North Central (16), Saskatoon (22), Central West (2), Central East (4), Regina (17), South West (3), South Central (14) and South East (8) zones and two (2) new cases have pending residence information.   The active case count is now at 1,201.

There are 171 people in hospital including 45 in the ICU.  That number does not include the 12 patients being cared for out-of-province.

1.029 vaccines were delivered Sunday.  775 of those were second shots meaning those people will soon be considered as fully vaccinated,
