Regina man facing charges after walking into a business with a knife

On Tuesday, at approximately 9:40 pm, Regina Police responded to a weapons offence involving a knife at a retail store on the 2100 block of Broad Street. It was reported that a man who was asked to leave the store for not wearing a mask, had returned showing a knife and threatening to harm the store staff.

Police arrived and located the 32-year-old man, who actively resisted arrest. The man was taken into custody and charged. The knife was also recovered.

32-year-old Jeremiah David Copeman is charged with 2 counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest.

Copeman makes his first appearance in court Wednesday afternoon.
