Regina-based Farm Credit Canada has awarded 1.5 million dollars to 85 rural community projects across Canada.

The manager of community investment, Carla Warnyca, says community improvement projects receive between 5 and 25 thousand dollars across Canada.

The funds are distributed to communities with populations below 150 thousand.

The goal is to improve the quality of life for rural residents.

The next application period opens in April, 2023.
