Linebacker Cameron Judge has opted out of his contract with the Riders.
Judge re-signed in the off-season on a one-year deal through the end of the 2020 season. With the season cancelled, he can now try and catch on in the NFL.
Judge was the West nominee for Most Outstanding Canadian in 2019. He posted career highs in tackles (61), special teams tackles (11), sacks (5), interceptions (2) and scored the touchdown that sealed a win over the Eskimos.
Three other Riders have chosen to do the same: DB Christian Campbell, DL Pete Robertson and DB Tevin Mitchel. That makes 13 Riders opting out with the cancelled season.
