Regina Police make arrests after two wanted suspects found in drive-through going in reverse

Two Regina women are facing drug charges after a traffic stop in a drive-through.

Shortly before 8:00 AM Wednesday morning, a patrol officer noticed a vehicle in the drive-through lane at a restaurant in reverse. The officer was concerned that the driver was asleep at the wheel and impaired.

After investigation, it was discovered that the passenger and driver were wanted for outstanding warrants; the driver was wanted for a drug warrant while the passenger was wanted for a traffic safety act warrant.

Both women were arrested, and a search of the vehicle and a hotel room led to the discovery of a large quantity of cash, drugs such as fentanyl and meth, what appeared to be a loaded handgun, three cell phones and other items believed to be associated with drug trafficking.

50-year-old Shelley LaRose and 34-year-old Amber Pelletier, both from Regina, have been charged with two counts of possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking. LaRose also faces possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon charges.
