Fajardo wins Riders MOP award

For the second straight season, Riders QB Cody Fajardo has won the team’s Most Outstanding Player award.

Fajardo has thrown for 2,970 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games. He’s also the top rushers among CFL quarterbacks with 468 yards. The Riders won 20 games with Fajardo at QB–faster than any other quarterback in team history.

Loucheiz Purifoy won the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award. Purifoy has played 12 games, switching between halfback, safety and SAM linebacker to fill in for injuries. This is Purifoy’s first team award nomination.
