There’s still three weeks left until fall officially arrives, but Monday morning some parts of west central and southwestern Saskatchewan dipped below the freezing mark.

Val Marie was the coolest at minus 3, while Rosetown and Kinderlsey both dipped to minus 1.

Environment Canada’s Terri Lang said frost should stay away for the rest of the week thanks to some active weather.

“I don’t think that we will see anymore frost this week just because we have too many weather systems moving through, and those will bring a lot of wind. and what that does is it mixes the lower atmosphere and doesn’t allow colder temperatures to form,” Lang said

Regina did not drop below zero but did dip down to plus 3 around 4:00 a.m.
