Positive cases identified at multiple Regina Public schools Tuesday

Positive COVID-19 cases have been identified at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate and Arcola Community School in Regina.

At Arcola Community School, one positive case has forced some students and classes to shift to remote learning beginning Wednesday.

Regina Public Schools shared in a news release on Tuesday morning that the affected students and classrooms will not return to school until December 11. All close contacts have been provided with information about self-isolation by the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

One case at Sheldon-Williams Collegiate has resulted in close contacts to self-isolate with information provided by public health officials. However Regina Public did not say classrooms have had to close or move to remote learning at the high school at this time.

The school division added that all families at these schools are being notified of the situation Tuesday and no school-wide automated calls will be made.

If there are any additional close contacts at the school, they will be contacted directly by the public health.
