RCMP and their Roving Traffic Unit were able to catch six impaired drivers over a 48-hour period this week in the Yorkton area during a road safety enforcement event.
Five of the impaired drivers tested positive for THC use, while the remaining suspect was found to be impaired by alcohol. They were stopped from Monday until Wednesday.
RCMP say they primarily focused on the City of Yorkton and Highway #16.
One of the driver’s license was suspended with a 120 day impound, while the rest received a three day suspension and vehicle impound.
