A group of SEIU-West members will be outside of health care facilities in Moose Jaw today Wednesday demonstrating their frustration with the pace of bargaining and what they call, the Saskatchewan government’s refusal to negotiate a fair deal.
Demonstrators will rotate between Providence Place, Crescent View Clinic, and Dr. FH Wigmore Regional Hospital between 11:30 and 4:00 p.m. The union says there will be more events in other locations over the coming weeks.
SEIU-West represents over 13,000 members across the province including people who work in health care, education, municipalities, community-based organizations, retirement homes and other sectors.
