For the first time in six days, the number of new COVID-19 cases is below 300.
On Thursday, the province announced 286 new cases and one new death. Over one-third (35.0%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 year age category. The person who died was in that 20-39 age category.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (7), Far North Central (4), Far North East (25), North West (19), North Central (46), North East (7), Saskatoon (65), Central West (5), Central East (5), Regina (12), South West (11), South Central (6) and South East (25) zones and 49 new cases have pending residence information. The active case count is now 3,416
Hospitalizations continue to inch higher as there are 184 people needing care due to the virus with 32 in the ICU. Of those 184, 141 were not fully vaccinated.
There were 2,293 vaccines handed out on Wednesday with 1,062 of them being first shots.
