Active case count back over 1,000 with 69 new cases Tuesday

There are 69 new cases of COVID-19 being announced in Saskatchewan Tuesday.

The new cases come from Saskatoon (13), the central east (13), the south east (13), the north central (seven), Regina (six), the far north west (two), the south central (two), the far north east (one), the north west (one), and the central west (one).

Two more people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, bringing the death toll up to 914.

There are 50 more recoveries. The active case count is up to 1,014.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is down slightly to 103.

There are 149 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 34 in ICU.

Tuesday’s statistics come from 1,435 daily new tests that were processed.

There are 479 new doses of COVID vaccines that were administered, including 103 first doses.
