Lumsden High School to remain closed until after holiday break due to COVID-19

Lumsden High School students and staff will continue with remote learning for the rest of 2020.

Prairie Valley School Division says in a news release the school will remain closed due to an increased risk of COVID-19 transmission.

The school will be closed until Dec. 18, and will re-open after the holiday break on Jan. 4.

LHS students and staff have been doing remote learning since Nov. 24.

Lumsden High School is the third school in PVSD to close for an extended amount of time due to COVID-19 after both elementary and high schools in Indian Head closed on Nov. 12. The elementary school was closed to start the year due to an influx of COVID-19 cases as well.
