The Regina Pats were 5-4 winners over the Winnipeg Ice as the WHL pre-season started for both teams Friday night.
Regina went into the third period trailing 4-3, but goals by Zach Stringer and Cole Dubinsky in the final 20 minutes gave the Pats the win. Other Regina goals came from Easton Armstrong, Connor Bedard and Tanner Howe.

The two teams will be back at it in Winnipeg on Saturday. Regina’s next game at home will be at the Brandt Centre versus the Prince Albert Raiders. 620 CKRM will have coverage of that game starting at 7.
